Switches with guard locking
Safety switches with locking function ensure that safety gates, safety doors and other guards remain closed as long as a dangerous situation exists.
In production processes, interlockable door switches have three main tasks:
- Enable the machine/process when the safety guard is closed and locked
- Switching off the machine/process when the safety guard is open
- Safety guard position monitoring and interlocking
With the SLC / SLK safety switches with separate actuator and interlocking guard, the user can realise interlocking systems that comply with EN 1088, EN ISO 12100-1, 12100-2 and, since 29.12.2009, with the mandatory Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
